Flexi induction pipeHI folks,
I need some flexi induction pipe to run from my air box to raise the air intake level for when I'm wading. Something that looks something a bit like this I guess http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flexi-Induction-C ... 2708wt_907 I've no idea if that is the right diameter I need, I will measure it tomorrow, but what I could do with knowing is where i might get some tomorrow ? Is it a car spares place ? Building supplies ? Any ideas where I could get some 'off the shelf' ? Cheers
Re: Flexi induction pipe65mm or at a push 75mm should do it.
This is good stuff, and remember sealant and to block the drain hole in the bottom of your air box. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT And for ref, my contraption ![]() Ste

Re: Flexi induction pipeYikes, £65 for 5m roll. I hope the local bods sell it by the metre
Just one more point , am I better to bend the open end near the bulkhead down ? (rather than up)
Re: Flexi induction pipeI have mine as level as I can, the turbo will suck anything passing in anyway, dont be tempted to put your hand on the end and rev the engine, it will fold like a concertina in a mili second and dissapear
So we know you will try it Use zip ties to secure it in place and any areas you think it may possibly chaff just lop a big load of duct tape around it. Oh, a metre is more than enough Ste

Re: Flexi induction pipeRed would be the way to go, or green if the pipe will fit (doubt it) but keep the entrance to the hose back from the bulkhead to allow any water over the bonnet to drain down without hitting the hose entrance.
![]() Red is preferable as it points away from any splashes. Ste

Re: Flexi induction pipeif you are struggling to find some I have some 65 mm heat proof steel wire reinforced flexy pipe. I can pop you some in the post if you need. I supplied some to mrtom last weekend and he seemed happy with it.

Re: Flexi induction pipei seem to remember getting some from machine mart ...it was listed as heavy duty pump drainage hose or something along those lines ...i used it on the old vec as a cold air feed from the lower bumper
