shaking

ok i have stuck this in general section, (not to sure what section to put it in)

whilst out for a drive today, i got to around 75 ish, and i got a violent shake on the back, keeping the same speed, the violent shake moved along the car to the front,

to give you an idea, there is some spanners in the back, and they started to rattle, by time it had got to the front, the coins in the coin holder was rattling,

have you checked all the wheel nuts

Propshaft U/Js?
Have you maybe whacked the propshaft on a rock?
Is there dried mud on the inside of the wheels?

all wheel nuts are tight,
no mud and have not knocked anything, (not been of road for long enough :oops:

)

prop shaft check it for play

are you running the bead weight things yet?.....what they called? little bearing jobbies, replace weights....

if so, they ain't working with your tyres & wheel combo.

otherwise, take that craappy caravan off the back

have you removed the old weights?..from the fronts...maybe all 4 wheels need to use the dynabeads to be effective, check first..*

warped or loose rear disc? (random thought)

no idea then mate, your truck was fine last time i was in it.

can only think of bad spots on the tyres after the spray, worn bushes ........too many :drink:

Did you relax the top & bottom drag link arms prior to lifting the rear ? if not you may have torn the bushes so you need to check them all front & rear top & bottom :wink:

Yep,it`s a torsion thing & the rubber can only stretch so far,with your lift it will think it is permantly at maximum droop :wink:

with the wieght of the car on the ground relax ALL the bolts,roll forwards & backwards a few feet a couple of times for it to all settle at its natural level then go round & torque them all up,it may have nothing to do with your current problem but it does sound suspension related to me
