Stick on window de-mistersHas anyone used a stick on window de-mister / heater type thing? My other vehicle, a Renualt has been bad and all the wiring to the rear window de-mister and brake light thing on the window has toasted itself. Apparently it can't be repaired without fitting a new window

Re: Stick on window de-mistersHi, I think all the oldies on here have used them in the past. I certainly have with no problems, they all worked fine.
The secret is to get the window nice and warm before and during installation and it will all go smoothly. What usually happens is that we want one when its cold and damp and the damm thing wont stick and the ends keep falling off, we breath on the window making it worse, its awkward to do, we end up ripping it off ,swearing and going down the pub and calling them a pile of s***. So keep it all clean ,warm ,and dry during installation and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. ![]() Bag 'O' Sh*te No1 2.2 petrol 2000

Re: Stick on window de-mistersThanks G/H, will look into getting one then. Not sure how I'm going to keep the window clean warm and dry in this weather but...!!
Re: Stick on window de-mistersElectric fan heater in the car & another outside facing the window was the old fashioned way to do it
Re: Stick on window de-mistersI had 2 mini's in my youth and i did put the sticky heated screens on them both only had trouble with the first one as i had'nt cleaned the window properly kept peeling off in places. But the second one i did it to the book and it was perfect and worked well.
