Hi im dan and im after some help/guidence. I looking at the following frontera ,RS model 2.2 petrol 1999.

91000 miles

only bad bit is bit of rust on the leading edge of the bonnet other than that NO FAULTS!
electric windows
electric mirrors
remote central locking
heated mirrors
driver and passenger air bags
tinted windows (legal)
16 inch alloy wheels
side steps
front spots factory fit so come on with high beam
front fogs
nudge bar
rear roll bar for when the roof is of
sport seats
3 rear seat belts which is very rare for a short wheel base model
has a crotch cooler for keeping the gentleman's area/lady garden cool
new fuel pipes and filter
recent cambelt change
auto locking hubs
high and low range transfer box
very nice truck with good off road capability's
with it being the sport rs its the top of the line model
removable hard top
twin removable sunroofs
twin roof bars
NO FAULTS WITH THIS CAR
tax till dec
mot till may 2011

Does this sound ok to you guys? Is there anything i should keep a close eye out for for this model/spec and are these a good all rounder? will be using it mainly as a work tool, im in demolition, no towing, and im sure some off road fun too.
Final question for now, how much would you say this is worth?

Keep an eye out for loss of coolant.The 2.2 petrol is well known for headgasket failures

Is there a way to do a fault test, to get the codes up? On my astra you have to press the pedels in a certain order to get the codes up.

you have to plug in a fault code reader mate, wont tell you if the h/g has gone though anyway

go with ur gut mate manifold are normally cracked but u should find a good one

make sure engine management light goes out take it a good run rev nuts out engine

What are the petrol models like in the dirt too. I'm looking to mod it a bit for off road use eventually any recommended things to do that are not bank breaking?
I think I'm going to go for this one, as it sounds ok and have spoke to the guy all week. I'm going to be swapping it for my car, so just need to be sure is all. I'm going to try find a neutral person to join me when I go, because my heart tends to lead instead of my head!!
