Well......i got bored earlier and adapted my spreadsheet i use

Edit the yellow boxes ie Total Cost of the fuel and how much each L was AND/OR how many litres put in, it'll then work out the rough range you could in theory get

You only require a password to change the formula's for the cells. If you just edit the yellow box's (which is all you need to do) it works as it should :)

pretty much what Boxcleva said, just edit the yellow boxes and it should (TM) work

if it doesnt please tell me what you are opening the spreadsheet in so i can test

Thanks...tried just changing the yella ones but it says ..... the cell / chart is read only and protected...go to tools > protection submenu and unprotect sheet, but then it asks for a password :? Am using Microsoft excel.
