mu exhaust

hi slowly going through bits to do on the mu,side steps are off ,31" ats are on,window in the process of fixing (part on order) the next thing is the exhaust any body know if i can use another exhaust off a different model as quick fit dont seem to do it and i cant find anywhere on the web who do an exhaust for a mu ,its a 2.8 1993.looks like previous owner had his own welding shop theres more patches on it than a quilt.

Could run the same as a 2.8 swb Sport Frontera.

hi the 2.8 swb seem to have a cat which is really expensive ,when i looked up the trooper/brava exhausts they didnt have a cat.dont know much about exhausts but i assume my 93 mu shouldnt need one ,can you get a exhaust for a 2.8 frontera swb without the cat.

I have removed my cat, Bernie welded in a section of pipe to fill the gap for me. passed MOT's no probs.
Its not really a cat its a particulate filter :wink:

cheers drift! ive checked today and the front section seems pretty solid so hopefully get somethin sorted for the rear box and mid section.my normal car is a nice and shiny 58 plate navara but seem to be running around in the mu all the time its more fun.

I replaced the rear box and a bit later the rear pipe, found the pipe on ebay cheap and got the box from millners.

It is fun in a more basic monster aint it, I hate driving the posh car (Hers) :lol:

Somewhere on here is a post about getting a stainless steel big bore system made for about a third of the price of an ordinary one?
Even if it was the same price it is a winner as no cat and a standard s/s silencer.
One less thing to worry about.
I'll ferret and see where it is.

thanks guys ,found a place in totton southampton will give them a ring tomorrow.when i picked up this mu a couple of weeks ago the intention was to run it till the ticket run out (11 months )just to tow the fishing boat and then scrap it but since having it and looking at the forums want to do loads to it ,hopefully do some green laning.will have to get some photos and put them up.

update on the exhaust,rang power flow in totton and to renew from flexy joint to the back they say around £425.00 in stainless 2"1/4 pipe.does this sound good or bad value? was reading an ausi forum and lots on there all say 2"1/2 exhaust gives the best performence seems they can get standard grade exhausts made to any spec they want out there pretty easily.asked power flow for 2"1/2 and was told 2"1/4 was all they could do.

forgot to say bought some bucket seats and after 2 nights of swearing ,puttin in taking out ,cuts bruises and a lot of frigging around with some brackatary made up out of materials from work finally in :dance:
