Well Tinker Belle has failed her MoT

She failed on
Handbrake, poor and inefective :shock:

Corroded Brake pipe

Inbalance of front brake's

oh and weak / incomplete rear springs :shock:

So a couple of phone call's later and there are a pair of milners trooper springs on the way to the garage on a overnighter :dance:

I must admit I thought It was going to be a lot worse and that It was going to be up as a spair's or repair JOB
after all the abuse that it has had over the last few weeks and month's, as for the rear springs I know what finally killed them and that was loading it up with a old floor standing boiler that weighed just that bit to much

So when I get her back there will be a call going out for some help doing the front torshion bar's

Just one question though I take it that the standard shock's will be ok with the new spring's (for the time being) as it's the good old thing of lack of money and the fact that I start my new job next week etc.etc.

hard luck son but that's not to bad good luck

standard shocks will be ok for the time being as long as you are not goiung offroad as they will top out when articulted

Running with the standard shock's would only be untill first payday then would be looking at some rough country or pro comp shock's but want to get it sorted asap, as I have enough to contend with new job and getting the house done

Im hopeing mine will pass tomorow or wife will kill me

yea mines in a few weeks too. have done loads of work on it and still have loads to do. it needs to pass coz i have a few caravan parks booked and i need to get the horse to a few shows over the next few months. just put 150k on the clock today and it still works harder than most modern trucks.

Mine failed 1 hazard warning switch faulty 2 nearside front headlamp aim too high 3 offside rear fog lamp not working 4 nearside front (idler arm) steering pivot point has excessive play 5 nearside front velocity joint gaiter split 6 nearside rear vehicle structure has excessive corrosian serriously affecting its strenth within 30cm of the body mounting got advisery for brake lines and pads garrage told me total cost to repair would be £269 including parts and labour (£30 an hour)

That's not a bad price for all that work just one question is the garage that did the MoT doing the work!!! or are you taking it to another garage
After who ever has done the welding etc. get some waxoyl slapped onto it

Yes the same garrage doing the work i would do it myself but toolbox got swipped does waxoil protect it from rusting?
