In the five months ive had the fronty ive never brimmed the diesel tank.......until yesterday.....aaaaaahhhh.....£94. I have a plaster on my chin where it hit the ground,happy motoring. :shock:

yep not cheep i have topped £100 then the pump stopped but that was from empty and was nearlly brimmed to the neck just not quite .

get your self a 3.2 i get just shy of 500 miles to a ful tank, and being on the back of AA truck does not count,

last time i filled her it was just shy £110, that was just before bala,

Being in Guernsey, my fuel is a lot cheaper (I think), but all the driving is basically urban.

My 3.2 costs about £60 from the fuel light to full, and I get about 300 to a tank.

However it is getting a proper 'run' on wednesday, as it is going from St Malo to Paris, and then back again on the Sunday. Be interesting to see how that improves my consumption !!

Im not doing to bad then about £110 to fill and as the fuel gauge dont work i have to rely on working it by millage. I will do no more than 400 miles between fuel stops and then it cost £70 to fill. I feel happy now knowing that i get more than others

Just filled mine up, and remembering this thread, actualy noticed what I paid !!

Regular 95 ron unleaded was 89.9 pence per litre :dance:

And it will all be gone by bedtime, which will be in Paris !

No idea cos me fuel gauge is bust! Stuck £50 in the other day and done a fair number of miles, but can't say for sure cos that bit of the dahs only works sometimes!

first a bit of background on this story, my mates dad in law used to run a builders yard and had a few lorries etc

my mate rang me as they are selling yard and scrapping all metal, and said he'd just found 2 massive diesel tanks (the kind in lorry yards) 1 full of cherry and one white, and did i want some as it all had to go that day, well lets just say i managed to fill my mums disco to the brim and my frontera for nothing, mmm i might buy him a drink or 2 at some point lol,

started on empty put 65 quid in drove from buxton to holyhead and still got between quarter and half a tank left

I did a bit of a test,after i had mine been in the garage for a repair and re tune :oops:

So i filled her up to the rim, and i did 130.1miles in two days, so when i filled her up again only cost me £27.32 i was happy with that :dance:

As fuel adds to the weight your dragging round filling up to the top for local running will not help your mpg however whether you fill it up or empty a couple of disposable lighters into it frequently, it's generally gonna drink what it drinks, you just feel the pain more on a full fill session!!!!

Which reminds me that donor tr7 i just trailered in has a 3/4 tank full of thirst quencher......where's me syphon!
