need help on Peugeot 206ok guys and girls, when you accelerate a bit aggressively, it pulls to the right, also it is ever so twitchy at speed, you change lanes and it moves as if it has just changed tracks

Re: need help on Peugeot 206I suspect the lower wishbone bushes are worn...my mk5 escort diesel van did exactly the same thing and I guess ya pug has a similar suspension setup...
Wishbone bushes when worn allow one wheel to drag forwards and hence turn slightly under acceleration and then return to normal place when throttle is eased off... Unfortunately tracking checks wont reveal the problem, will read fine, unless you can find a brave mechanic who will check it when you are a full throttle! Hope this helps matey... Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()

Re: need help on Peugeot 206Yup I would agree with Greg on this. Check the joints carefully.
BTW, getting your steering geometry done would be a good idea after the repair, not just the tracking. But anyone doing this SHOULD be checking the steering and suspension first, before setting up the gear for the readings. If they dont, it would be like fitting a propshaft to a gearbox that had no gears in it. Pointless. Regards, Keith.

Re: need help on Peugeot 206it is most likely the wishbones i had a 206 and it was subject to a recall due to a wishbone bush problem yours may have slipped the net, mine was an 03 plate not sure which years it affected

Re: need help on Peugeot 206found this on vosa website
There is a possibility that the front stub axle lower ball joint fixing may have been incorrectly machined which may result in separation of the stub axle from the ball joint/lower suspension arm. http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/expand.asp?uniqueID=35DBE0F0D008C9F080256BB900268A1F&freeText=Blank&tx= It was just an old worn out jeep
