Been playing today...making sandcastles n stuff...

Wotcha foggers....

I thought with the impending digger weekend looming up that I should get a bit of practise in, as its been a good few years since I used a digger, and then it was mainly tracking around in a 30tonner and not too much digging...

Thankfully my mate Nick who owns a local holiday park has a 5 tonner and access to the beach from his site (this will also be the venue for the SE summer beach bbq on one of the days the sun comes out in the summer!)
Nick kindly lent me his digger for a couple of hours to go play making giant sandcastles to get a bit of practise in so I dont make a nob of myself or bust the digger (which I will have to find the dosh to repair!

)...

Was great fun and have got the hang of it enough that I will be able to muller the woods, so was a great help and should make me a bit more efficient to start with in the digger we are hiring...

Made a bit of a mess of the beach though....it got much much worse before I levelled and graded it all... :oops:

Got some funny looks of the locals...I think they thought I was looking for something... :shock:

So thats what Sal said when she told me you where at the beach with your bucket and spade :lol:

....got a bit worried at one point when digging the beach when I came across and old gas bottle buried....we get so much ww2 stuff washed up down here...did break a sweat when the bucket hit something with a metallic clang and I saw the cylindrical metal shape :shock:

I hope you cleaned the seat afterwards. :lol:

Me too. Getting in an 80cm bob to muck out the stables next week. The door is 85cm so I have to pick up the manure/ex bedding and then ram the doorway and grind the bucket up and down to get rid of enough excess that I can get through and dump it all in a big pile and every half an hour or so the LSS (Long Suffering Shepherdess) picks it up with the (Prairie Princess) tractor and fills the trailer attached to the ( Scrub Rat ) tractor and takes it off to the pile in the field. Very time consuming but we don't want to change the buildings as they are as they were when they were built in 1880 and everyone else is gutting theirs so soon ours will be the only one that is origional.
Anyone know any film location companies?
