I like helping people!

I stopped for a Ford Ka that had its hazards on near me on a dangerous bend. Turned out he had 2 problems, a broken spring and some sort of wierd electrical issue. I towed him to the nearest safe spot and had a quick nosey over the car.

By the looks of it someone had bodged the aftermarket foglight installation and the wiring loom had melted!

And he had a broken spring!

Waited with him while he called the RAC and on my return journey (2 hours later) he was still there. Poor bugger.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!

last year just after Christmas late one night was trundling along the A17 heading away from Kings Lynn and saw a bloke dithering in the road, car parked on the verge, and happened to notice something large and metallic in the ditch. Turned around and it seemed a Disco had deceded to fish tail for no reason, clipped the car and spun itself into the ditch through several trees and eneded on its side. The dithering bloke was from the car, and clearly in shock. I pulled up and stuck my hazrds on. The g/f guided the bloke into the car and made sure he was comfortable and warm. I went to the disco and found two people sitting inside trapped but unhurt. I noticed a load of traffic cones and made a mini contraflow behind my car to warn other drivers and then helped the woman and bloke out of the disco. Phoned the police and they turned up pretty rapidly. Had all of them sat in my car in the warm while my g/f tended to them (first aid trained). When the coppers and paramedics turned up they were so impressed the copper asked which force I was with.

When they took over they all thanked us for being so kind and considerate. We went home feeling so chuffed that we could help and it was appreciated by all.

Call that stretch of raod "Disco Alley" from now on :D

Well done guys - it's nice to see that people are willing to help without making a big fuss about it. Glad to be part of this family.

PS: By the way, we Germans aren't so bad at all  well most of them
