Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this :oops:

Well most of you know that Gracie has been off the road for a number of months now and :idea:

its just crossed my mind :oh yer:

That she has just been sitting there, I haven't been able to moved her ... Just wanted to ask as I don't want any nasty surprises with her :wink:

So what damage have I may of caused with her sitting there....
The battery is truely flat, that I do know :lol:

..

Could the breaks be sealed up?
Anything else that I need to know please?

Mine sat for months doing nothing and started fine i would recomend leaving the hand brake off and chockthe wheels and do not let tyre`s go flat as leaving them flat for long time wrecks tyre walls. If it can start turn it over every now and again prob best get a charge in the battery as this will help prolong battery life

as above Roo with luck cant see any probs but just go and start it every week to keep the battery charged.

Change the oil and filter, condensation can sometimes form, oil and water dont mix :wink:

It wont be to noticable at first but over time can cause problems, also you will see some white smoke on start up :wink:

My 2.8 was on my drive parked up for the best part of 5 months and started fine :wink:

You have nothing to worry about just make sure you give your battery a good charge with a battery charger or if you jump start it make sure you give it a good run to charge the battery properly :wink:

Just her alternator packed up, she's got one commin from Millwall he's sendin it to her.

The oil that I need, what type should I buy, ( it's a petrol engine) and how much oil do I need please? with regard to the filter, do I just ask for a Oil filter for a frontera or do I need to take the Engine code thingy with me? .... Sorry to ask :oops:

but I don't think I have ever personally brought oil n filters before soooo :oops:

& I want to get it right :wink:

left mine standing over winter and both rear calipers siezed up,nothing a g clamp and some wd40 didnt cure

Mine was laid up from July till December the only problem I had was an air lock in the coolant sytem. Hope your back on the road soon Roo.

Just get your battery charged up and get it started then give her a service ready for Bala. Make sure you check the oil first.
