Stud removing tool

i have a broken stud on my turbo where the exhaust attaches to the turbo

i have tried to remove it twice and it will not move :twisted:

I did try a quick fix by putting gasket seal round the gasket which worked for a couple of days then blew :twisted:

Was looking at these and just wondered if anyone has used them or no if they are any good before i go wasting my money again :roll:

Dunno, Maybe easier borrowing a stick welder. Have an ask around, if someone can lend one, weld a nut on. If it breaks, weld another, but the added heat each time will sort it.

If you can get a welder, I might be able to pop over and show you.

If it comes down to drilling a hole in it and using a stud extractor then bite the bullet and get a professional one. If a cheap one breaks then you are right royally stuffed and in the oven as you can't drill it out.

Steve,your second link (set of four) they deffo work had a set for any years,but as Alex says heat is your best friend (try combining the two :wink:

Have tried heat and mallgrips and no joy

I think i will try the second link as i would like a set anyway as i want to remove the egrs soon and i am sure they will give me trouble :lol:

Would be a nice addition to the tool box anyway :wink:
