Meet the Ballbreaker....

Having wrestled with a few lower BJ's over the last year or so I decided to do something about it, especially as the B started creaking like the Fudsters wallet.

I looked at a few bought options, I killed a few Laser hammer in separators, killed a laser scissor type, killed a cup type, then killed a Draper expert commercial separator. The distance from tip of the taper to the cup on the BJ is just too big for any products out there, the Draper wouldve worked but was at its absolute limit and it stripped the couple of threads left in the jaw, all without even testing the BJ itself.

So deciding to try a new approach, I took a stanley knife to the BJ rubber, then pulled the coiled metal retainer for the rubber out to make plenty of room.

Then hammered my latest project home.

2 minutes later she broke like a Land Rover :dance:

Was very satisfying. Ive lost days of my life fighting them balljoints, between that and the bearinator we may start having an easier life.

Iv got one of the Bearinators. Only needed it the one time but am happy to pass it on to anyone else who needs it.

May get round to fabricating my own at some point, possibly with different adapters so it will fit other vehicles not just 6 stud ;-)
