going up to ullapool

heading up for a few days from 10th till 14th going to go right up to the top for a drive and sight seeing

anything i should try and see, things to avoid apart from the weather lol

very nice fish and chip shop next to the ferry terminal

Get the ferry to Stornoway, it was 9 degrees there yesterday but 3 deg in Edinburgh.

Usually the other way around. I hear they are walking about in T shirts. :lol:

Visit Scotland's secret bunker, very interesting mate. Used to take the cadets there. Its near St Andrews.

Pray that you don't get stuck behind a lorry on the A9 :lol:

also if you want a little deture go to Glen Affric you may like the track's up there, :shock:

when i lived just outside Dingwall i used to go to Ullapool every Sunday

love that place, nice pub on a wee back street but i'll be damned if i can remember the name!

There is also Gruinard Bay which is between Ullapool and Gairloch. On the right day you'd think you were in the Caribbean

It over looks the infamous Gruinard Island which is where they first tested Anthrax on sheep!

staying at the http://www.theargyllullapool.com/ with a nice bar down stairs cant wait to go up north its going to be cold but we just want to get away from the city for a few days

so leaving wed morning looking forward to it hope weather is not too bad going to see as much as we can, and we decided well when i say we i mean me we are taking betsy [fonty] i win again

There's a little stretch of road (can't remember the name) but it's very bumpy/humpy. I almost bottomed out in the Astra and my head hit the roof.... but it was worth it cause I was overtaking a spanking new GTR
