A few weekes ago I bumped into a couple in a Fronty 2.2i LWB on Tescos carpark in Stevenage. I told them to join the site and gave them my number.
Last night I got a call from the Lady saying that she had broken down in Kimpton which is about 2 miles north of nowhere. She said that it had started to splutter then just died so I packed the tools in the fizzbomb and off I went. After a lot of huffin, puffin, headscratching and wet knees (still loads of snow here) I was almost certain it was a fuel starvation problem but having not dealt with a 2.2i before, I rang Alex to ask his advice. He was a diamond and also rang Phil (doris) to give him my number. Phil rang me and indicated where all the relevant relays and fuses were and we found that the fuel pump fuse kept blowing. Fuel pump goosed I'm afraid.
It turned out the the lady is the district nurse and still had another 10 patients to see, so as we weren't going to get the fronty going again, I offered my services and drove her to every patient on her rounds then when that was all done, headed back to the stranded fronty. She didnt have any breakdown cover so i duly recovered the truck back to her house.
She rang me this morning to say thankyou and asked me to pass her thanks to Alex and Phil for their stirling efforts to get her back on the road.
I've now managed to talk myself into replacing the fuel pump and filter when they arrive so stand by for more phone calls guys.
Once again, THANK YOU

Nice one & well done guys for your efforts . It's nice to hear that there are still people out there with the right kind of spirit rather than a can’t be bothered attitude. Glad to be part of the family - although, I haven't met any of you guys yet.
