B***** DMF!!! - Advice needed!

The Dual Mass Flywheel has bitten the dust on my 2.2 dti "B"!!!
I've seen this .... what do you think??? .... the guy is checking to see if it'll fit and getting back to me.
Opinions please!!!

Depends on the cars principle usage,reduced flywheel weight will mean reduced kinetic energy which will probably result in more frequent downward gear changes & may well have more vibration at idle.

Mostly gets used on road, not too much offroad.
It's always ticked over like a dying tractor, do you think it would make that much difference?

Yep,you will need to get it onto Tech 2 scanner & have the idle speed increased,as it will very "lumpy"

Took Gypsys advice and got a new DM flywheel and clutch.
Got what I think was a fantastic bargain.
Brand new flywheel and clutch (off the back of a brand new unused crated engine) £235 all in!!!
Being fitted right now........
