y reg 2.2 petrol expensive tax??

Hi been to looking at a y 2001 registered frontera thats a 2.2petrol.And im confused as to how much the tax is.This is the one i have been looking at http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... code=p.Any ideas on the cost of the tax?cheers Adrian

Cheers drift.I think i will be buying it.Thought the tax was the expensive one.but acording to this link.http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/ ... v=15810.it isnt.

Looks a nice car and low mileage, but dont forget to haggle, see if the manifold is cracked and blowing, its a bit hard to tell as its under the heat shield, its very common with the 2.2 petrols, it will cost around £130 to sort out, still haggle and it will be worth it

if its bought from a dealer get him to slap some tax on it

the tax band is M classed as Over 255 for a year £405.00 for 6 months £222.75

it works out its only £215 There is a band K with an * at it , which is for cars with higher emissions than 255g/km after March 2001 but regisstered before march 2006 ..

I nearly sold mine due to seeing that £405 figure............

2.2 petrol, dont worry about the tax, its the petrol consumption youve got to worry about! 23mpg on a run.
