Been offered a 2.4 for not alot of money, only done 68k, are there any common nasties with these engines or are they quite strong?
Did you take trusty rusty past the 200k mark Dave?

got the old carlton engine in and treated well and serviced etc they run forever, good solid lumps :wink: :wink: oops only just seen driftys post saying same thing :? :?

go for it mate as far as i know trusty is still going strong and has to near to 200 now :D 2.4 one of the best units in my book :dance:

You will be wanting a swap for the BBB then Dave :wink: Its an old K reg that was MOT'ed and then sat for a year doing nothing (not always the best), all original, no rust and very clean inside. Just waiting for a new fuel sender to be fitted to then have a drive.
