Replacement speedometer & engine?

Postby JamieFOB on Thu Jul 16, 2009 8:42 am

My 1999 "B" series Frontera LWB 2.2 petrol is about to undergo major engine surgery. I've been told that the 2.2 is one of the worst engines they made? Is there another version I can slot straight in?
My speedo keeps packing in as well. Have read various posts on here that suggest one cure is intricate soldering on connections on the board. Don't think I'm capable of that, so looks like a replacement job. Seen this on Ebay..........

.......been told that several parts are interchangeable from Isuzus, does anyone know if this will fit my motor?
Cheers,
Jamie. :? :? :?

I would say NO,on the grounds that your car has an all electronic dash,Where that one has a mechanical speedometer & odometer
