where to fit my cb arial on a LWB

Hi peeps question to all out thier with a cb on LWB wher do you recommend fitting the arial on a mag mount or some sort of bracket? this i would prefer if i could?

Not on the drivers wing mirror. You might just cook your left eye if it is a powerful set.
If it is a petrol engine, as far to the rear as you can go.

Mine is here, out the way of trees as I found the mag mount kept getting knocked off and it was the size of a dinner plate.

only prob with where you got yours drift is my spare wheel is thier and thats where i need it to stay so looks like a roof bar mount

So drill through the spare wheel mount then??

Assuming you've got the same affair that I have on my LWB which bolts on to the tailgate in 4 places... Get a dome mount, or whatever, and drill. Plenty of room on there I've found.

Good idea about the dome mount blonde moment, sounds like a plan

I have mine on a 7" mag mount and so far it hasnt fallen off... Apart from that one time when I had a run in with a very low branch :evil:

However, since Im using the car more and more for laning Im looking at drilling a hole in the roof and mounting it through there somehow. I reckon it will be a headlining out job tho.

Just found out why my old cb died and this wont SWR, they dont like being mounted on aluminium roof racks. If you do, run an earth from the mount to the body, 10amp wire.
