Aircon Question

Hi Folks

I have a 2.2 petrol A series transglobe, with aircon fitted. Looking from the front of the car, at the left side of the rad behind the bumper is a silver sort of catrridge/filter shaped thingy. It has the the aircon pipes attached.

Looking last night, the left hand union at the top is scratched, and there is no pipe coming out. I was offroad at the weekend and could easily have hit it (body lift but not yet lifted the bumper). Can anyone tell me if there should be pipes coming out both sides at the top? If there is one at the left (drivers side), where does it go? I can't see any sign of one!

This could all be paranoia, but I can't remember what it was like last week....

Only ever nosed under a 2.2 with air con once and I cant remember where all the pipework went exactly but I would think it fairly unlikely you knocked anything loose unless you got a branch or some such in your engine bay.

Ah... Well that may be a problem then. Does the aircon still work?

If your gonna bin the air con anyways why not keep the compressor in situ and use it as an air pump, That way there would be no more messing about when it comes to adjusting tyre pressures for pay n play sites or laning.
Just a thought.

I'm not to sure, i only say because i'm sure it has been done by some members on there trucks.
Just seems a shame to take it out if it could be used for another purpose.
