Battery ...

Hi guys,

Quick question. Anyone know roughly how much a 12v battery from a scrappy would be? I need one for my caravan, but really don't want to be spending ~£50 on one at the moment ...

Got one here doing nothing, yours free if you want it, its been sat a while though but worth a punt.

If it holds it's charge, i'll have it mate. The one i've got in there at the moment is the old one out of my fronty, and it doesn't hold charge at all :lol:

Anyone able to Fog express it down this week before holymoorside? :lol:

It did hold charge, not checked it for about 6 months but as I say its worth a punt

i have one aswell you can have, i got it from weave and its a good one, so there is two you can have, where about are you

a car battery is the wrong sort of battery for a caravan
There's a lot of difference in the construction
Simply put, a Leisure battery is capable of being discharged to a flat state, repeatedly without damage
but a car battery will quickly become useless if subjected to the same treatment.

I do know that it's not the most suitable battery, just trying to do things on a budget that's all

Can't afford one of those posh batterys, and the charger to go with it

If you don't have any luck let me know and we can try to sort out me getting the said batteries off Ste and Andy for you. I know it would mean Friday night in darkness but it would make you appreciate the Saturday night even more...... You could sit in your van and watch Fuddy make an :butt:

i started off with an older one and ended up buying a new bailey ranger in 2002

End of the day, it's dry and warm - that's all that matters to us .. the rest we can sort out in time
