Hi Craig
As A friend says, I would see about getting a full refund with regard to this as you brought it in good faith, and it's not fit for the purpose you brought it, So I think you should be entitled to ALL your money back
ebay's role when you need to resolve a Problem What we do *
Since it's usually best for members to resolve issues directly, we provide guidelines for requesting contact information and communicating with your trading partner .
*
If direct communication isn't possible, our Resolution Centre helps you start and track a case to resolve the problem with your trading partner. If you paid with PayPal, you'll use PayPal's Resolution Center.
*
When you pay with PayPal on eBay, you're backed by PayPal's Buyer Protection.
*
When suspicious activity is reported, our Trust and Safety team investigates the situation. If members violate an eBay policy, we warn them and may restrict or suspend their account.
*
We cooperate with all law enforcement investigations.
Law enforcement agencies can report information to eBay using a web form designed for law enforcement only. If you're not in law enforcement, open a case in our Resolution Centre.
What we don't do
*
We can’t take action on a member's behalf. For example, we don't contact a member directly to ask about the status of an item.
*
We can't force a member to complete his or her obligation. Hope that helps
