Car Tax question?.

can't find the answer on the dvla site. if i tax the lwb tomorrow i loose a month i believe am i right.

Assuming you currently do not have tax on it, If you tax it tomorrow, your tax will start from the 1st of May. Only after month end does it move to the next month

so i'll be better waiting till the end o this month.

Thats what i had to do with mine Dave. Had to wait 2 days to get a full 12 months tax .

i hate waiting think i'll just go sit it the car and pretend to drive. looks like im stuck driving the pt cruiser for a few more days then :cry:

can you get tax for the truck now but not have it start till the begining of the month. the reason is i need to travel in to birminghan to sort the tax out as it was previously registerd disabled and im working nights at the moment and have a run of nights at the start o the month so wont be able to get in to birmingam for a week or so

I'm not sure about that, if you can't get to a post office, but I think that you can always pay on line, but don't quote me on that :wink:

no you can pay online normally but i need to swap the tax from disabled to normal and can only be done at a the dvla offices.

I think you do have to go in mate.

yeah you have to go in and get it swapped,my advice is be there for opening time,wasnt there a dvla place in shrewsbury on the battlfield buisness park :?:
