Me and Jude got home a couple of hours ago, set off about 11.45, didn't stop and home by 4. The 2.8 didn't miss a beat in the 575 miles since friday . Cracking weekend with cracking people in cracking scenery, what more could you want Thanks go to Andy for all his efforts at organising the event and to all you others for making us feel welcome. We don't do socialising much down here and are quite a shy couple but found it easy with a freindly bunch such as yourselves, so thanks for that. Couple of little vids up soon.

Could only get time off for the one day (sat) but had a good un yesterday, was great to meet a few more members and put faces to names. A BIG THANKS to all involved in organising the weekend, my co pilot for the day (non member) remarked on how well organised it all was. Bala 4x4 made a great venue with plenty to do for all skill levels. Did anyone try and go through that bog or get up that hill?
Someone mention laning? Just tell me when and where!

I got back about 5 ish and now fed, showered and watered am having a quick browse through the new posts whilst downloading photos from the camera. I arrived on Friday evening and was very surprised to see the number of members already there - possibly 25-30 Fronteras It was a great couple of days at an excellent play site with some great company. Andysd1 did a sterling job in getting this event off the ground and running with it - cheers bud More later no doubt. Lawrence

Got back safely at around 6pm. Still feeling hungover from last night !!!!! Now unloaded and Unpacked, Fed and Watered (Ta Zoe ), just going to have a nice hot bath, then chill out for a hour or two, with time to reflect on a great weekend. Thanks to all involved in organising and making the effort to give all the people who turned up a weekend to remember (wish I could remember between the hours of 6pm Saturday to 6.30 am Sunday !!!! No recollection of what I got upto whatsoever !!!!!) Only 363 days till the Next one !!!! Should just give me enought time to recover. A few piccys will follow later.

Firstly I would Like To Appologise for my Indiscretion Last night to ALL at Bala.
AndySD1 did a superb job of organising this weekend together with all the other Admin and the Owner of Bala 4X4.
My untried 2.5TD did not miss a beat until this afternoon when I slid into a rut that had a sharp rock in the side. 1 flat tyre and my spare outside the caravan. Oh well it was beyond repair anyway, Drove down to the camp site from the top on the rim, fitted the spare and then found some awlful noise from the front axle in 4L, Or where the axle is, too much mud at the moment, but no visable leaks.
I was VERY impressed with the ability of the fronty
Thank you 1 and ALL for a Great weekend Julian

Glad that everyone is getting home safe, I had a great weekend, just about catching up on the lack of sleep (Never sleep so great when camping). Especially thanks to drift and bobbins for helping me with my tent when I got there (late) on Friday night It was great to meet everyone, and huge thanks to andysd1 for his organising, brilliant job. I don't know how the ones staying there until tomorrow are going to have time to recover I am definitely glad it's a bank holiday weekend cc

I'm back and shatered. Might be lack of sleep or the large amount of scotch drunk last night. Big up for Andy for sorting the whole thing out, was a great weekend of fresh faces and good mates. Far more than just an off road event, the social side was fantastic, I havent recovered from the laughing. At least three times I reached or the floor to help me, and I was sober at the time. Fuddy the portaloo king, Andy the ground anchor and Dan, well Dan is all I need to say. Roo, wooden spoon or not youve used this weeks smiley count already. The off roading was great, we even managed to get fixes to most issues that cropped up on the cars, FOG pit crew all worked well, even the Fudster, can in hand. Cant wait for the next meet, gonna be good.

Well me and karen left in convoy with Ian(Niel ) Erko and the guy who's name i can't remember in the B series LWB we went and did the wayfarer, made it all the way this time after Weave's truck sprang a Rad leak we had to turn back (Hope its ok mate) anyway left them all at the end to make our way home ended up driving 25 miles out of our way to find a garage that was open as the truck needed power steering fluid after the punishment my truck took after i made the 20 attempts to get up THAT HILL but it never missed a beat all the way home also managed to hose down my alternator at the garage after it took on more mud on the wayfarer and decided it wasnt going to charge the battery finally made it home at 11:30pm my thanks go to Andysd1 for the organisation of the event and trugga too me and karen really enjoyed the weekend and karen apologises for her little bit of annoyance on saturday night photo's will follow soon enough but i am really pleased that with all the abuse the thundertruck took (and most of you know she TOOK some abuse ) that she kept on ticking without fault and i can't wait to see the pictures that john (waterbogged Landrover) took of the Thundertruck getting airborne Lee & Karen
