Thought It Was A bit Steep! What do you think please?

I rang my insurance Company this morning and got a quote for my Renault Clio 1900 Diesel and I have 5 year+ years No Claims, I wanted comprehensive on it. I have got 1 motoring conviction = exceeding statutory speed limit, year of conviction was in 2006, my mileage would be under 3,000 miles per year! and the quote was for £260.97..

Personally I think that's wayyyyyyy toooooooooooo high, considering last year it cost me £181.50..

Yeah im with you on that it does seem a bit high given your ncd and mileage. i got the same offence and the guy i took my quote with said that type of offence didnt make that much of a difference unless it was with really young drivers. bit of shopping around needed ?

Mine came in at £195 this year and its a higher risk car then the clio. Got a quote for dad as well and they knocked £60 off his previous premium with another company including his nine points for speeding.

have you visited go compare.com yet roo ? easy site to use & gives instant quotes, im sure your get it cheaper than the quote you got :wink:

Darn sight cheaper than mine, its nearly £400, anything with an L postcode is a bummer and Ive never had a car pinched yet and no convictions and only one claim, non blameworthy in 25 years............ wish I lived in Wales

I rang http://www.adrianflux.co.uk and was quoted £175 so that nearly a £100 savings so I am well pleased :dance:
