cant get in my fronty

My central locking is not working, the drivers door key half turns but not enough for the door to unlock (I can get in through passenger door thankfully) but because I cant unlock the drivers door I can not open it to remove the interior panelling any suggestions

See if you can pull the rubber strips out each side of the window to try to get a piece of wire in and pull the lever up. Might be worth a squirt of WD40 into the lock.

I had this problem a few weeks ago - most likely is a little spring has snapped on the lock mechanism.

I managed to bull back the door card enough to get my hand in and release the lock manually, then open the door and replace the spring with the one from the passenger side.

if its just stiff, fire some wd40 in it. Thats what i did, and it works properly now. If its broken, then pass! Dunno.

I had the same prblem as Lawrence, lots of patience with coathangers and the like got it open, right PITA only happens at night and raining.
