MOT Time - Common Issues...

Hi Guys,

Have my (somewhat thorough Northern Irish) MOT on Saturday evening.

Anyone got a heads-up regarding common failure points that I can look to fix before the weekend?

The hand brake is very common check its all working fine. also that non of your brakes are sticking, other than that its all the usual checks http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual/contents.htm :wink:

brake pipes and fuel pipes that go over the rear axle (look for corrosion).

also check front balljoints

Right. Got the lend of a four post ramp yesterday and checked brake lines. They were very good so cleaned and lightly spray painted them.

Fuel lines were a little corroded so they got a little more work. All good.

Joints/bushes etc look fine so fingers crossed they're ok.

Had some chassis snapping issues:

All fixed now.

Anything else? MOT is at 6pm tonight, think I'm ok but I hate failing these things, just more hassle re-arranging a new date, etc

make sure all the lights work and washers have water lol

It passed so all good for another year. Took me two days to get it ready though :oops:
