Help again please

Me again asking for help. Hubby has changed all belts, changed the air filter and put in new radiator. Can't do fuel or oil filter yet until car running. Alarm guy coming with any luck on tuesday to rip out standard VX alarm and the after market alarm that someone has cut into the original system. The problem is the central locking fuse keeps blowing. There is also an oil leak somewhere which I cannot find. I am really honestly considering scrapping this car. It really just does not want to work.
I also have a ford mondeo that threw a rod through the engine block so lately cars have cost me alot of money. I am really fed up. I have lots of more work to do suspension, leaf springs, brakes etc etc! MOT due at end of month and tax runs out end of year.
So if the when the alarm is removed I still have the engine cutting out and the fuses blowing can someone please help?????

Don't panic - there are plenty of us around that have been through similar. I considered getting shot of mine several times in it's history, and it spent a good 8 months off the road not long after I got it - however due to the expertise and unfathomable generosity of the FOG members in the area, she's on the road and looking good - just need to get the mods sorted.

Once the alarm guy's been, let us know the verdict, then I feel a mini fog meet coming on! :lol:

Likewise, shropshire is not too far away from me either.

Its a 2.4 Bernie. Mines a 2.2

2.4 is a much simpler engine though. And everything is fairly easy to get to as well as there is plenty of space under the bonnet.

2.2 is more powerful on paper, theoretically more efficient as well. What I would really like though is the Holden 2.6 litre engine. That would propel it along nicely.

Mine always works. Its just that sometimes it doesnt always all work at the same time in the manner I would like it to

Thanks all....'breathes sigh of relief', just need it to work so I can get son to school. Got until Feb 09 before I need to use it to comute 45 each way down 54 and m6!

It'll get there in the end ya just gotta roll with the good n the bad. There is plenty of us around that will always help.
