can't make my mind up what to do ...I've got a 2.3lwb which i've done quite a bit of work on and has never really let me down, now I use the car basically to go to work and back and as a toy for off roading as i've also got a 2.6 omega as my main motor for any distance work. So i want to mod some more to make a better offroader. Up to now on the 2.3 I've give it a 3 inch suspension lift, added different wheels with muds, fitted new top ball joints and flipped them (please don't stone me to death) fitted safari snorkel and modded the bullbar. On top ive done usual routine service stuff and changed back axle for the right one
Now .................Do i carry on improving this one or.........do I get a 2.8 pref swb . main reason for swapping would be how much better would it be off road??? obviously the swb has less grounding risk , but not grounded the lwb yet, the main problem i get is lack off power to take on big hills without taking a big run up and hence too much speed for bumpy hills
so what to do?????????????????

thought the general feeling on the forums used to be strongly against flipping balljoints, i remember posts being locked for talking about such horrific crimes ...lol

Ive got a LWB and had a few. I have a SWB. As for hich is better, hard to say. Too many reasons for both, so neither is a bad choice. For days out or weekends the room in a LWB is nice, but the SWB is fun...
As for power, Ive never had an issue in low box with a 2.8 and thats with big grizzlies on. I find it hard to see a 2.3 needing more power without lockers as its not that lacking when in low.
Just my 2p
Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"
Fronty no.5 2.8 swb hd coils +2" 31"machos.
