A little advice please

As I am nearly into working winter hours and will have more spare time on my hands I will be stripping down the truck for serious cleaning,de rusting and sealing.

Just a couple of things though.Will be cleaning the rad and cooler out as well as but need to know how to remove the lower skirt and nudge bars ( see pic ) as I know it is getting rusty behind

and also will have to remove side steps to get better access to sills as rust is coming back and will repaint them.Are they just bolted on.Will be using black hammerite on sills,bash plate (need advice on removal) and the tank guard( again how to remove) and will then seal all underside with engine oil and Diesel mix but have forgotten the mix ratio.

The nudge bar is only held on with 4 bolts underneath mate, very easily removed.
The front bumper and skirt come off in one peice and are seperated when off. Remove the bumper by removing the 2 bolts each side in the chassis legs. Give them a clean with a wire brush and a few days of soaking with WD40 first though, as they can be very tight. When removed, the 2 bumper ends and lower skirt are removed by removing all the 10mm bolts.
Side steps are held on by bolts through the chassis rails. Easily removed although again, may be tight.
Intercooler is in front of the radiator, so remove the grill and horns, remove all the piping, and unbolt the cooler.
Clean it out with clean diesel and leave to dry. Blow air through it if you can. Thoroughly clean the piping as they will be minging too. Hope that helps mate.

Those nudge bars have two bolts that go into captive nuts behind the bumper as well, you will see them behind the number plate :wink:
