to sell or not to sell

I came back to my 2.3 d lwb recently to find a note on my windscreen from a girl (flattered already) saying she had been looking for a Frontera like mine and would I sell it to her.
Why mine? My daughter reckons its the colour its a bluey grey silvery but slightly lilac in the right light.
The thing is, I like it,I've had it for two years, put new springs on and I've put time into fixing the things that have gone wrong (with support from f.o.g.)so I know about all those and it its running okay at the moment.Its done 102,000 and it does 35 mpg regularly.I use it to and from work 22 miles a day and use it for my blacksmithing buisiness with the occasional trip out to site where it is a stronger vehicle than an Astra. I could manage with an Astra estate but having gone up to the Frontera its going to be a wrench to go back, but I would save on fuel costs. However if I can get the right kind of money ,(Ive been in text contact and have warned her that I am fond of it and would want more than the market value) could this be the moment to go up to a 2.8 d lwb. Does anyone have one to sell and what do they do mpg and what sort of price would it be?
I've said I'll get back to her next week. Any thoughts anyone?

If the car does what you want and your returning that sort of mileage I would stick with the devil you know.
I is a low mileage car in reality and good for a lot more, you fuel economy is better than most 2.8's as they are around 26 to 30 mpg.
And with your job you never know when the 4wd will come in handy and thats another one over the Astra van :wink:

yep, stick with what you have got. You say you've sorted out the niggles, if you replace it you'll end up with a another big long list of niggles to do!

Hi, thanks for the responses,what with daughter on msn and facebook last night and me needing to go to bed I didnt get to reply last night.Your thoughts only confirmed my gut feeling which is to stick with what I have.I really like my Frontera and have sorted out the niggles so far and as you say it is the devil I know.I am also looking forward to several repairs and improvements. I hadnt thought through the consequences of a different Frontera with a whole new set of problems to overcome. Also when I was looking on the internet at Fronteras nearly two years ago I felt very strongly that this was the one for me even before I went to see it. When I mentioned on my post last night about it running okay at the moment I knew I was tempting fate and, sure enough it blew a water pipe on the way home tonight!
