Help needed please

Is there anyone in my area or not a million miles away who could help me with the bumper lift. I've done the body lift but the bumpers are on the p**S and I am beaten. The bolts holding the front bumper on have snapped the weld on the captive and are rusted solid but no room to get a grinder in there.

Angelina is my pride and joy and i dont want to make a complete F-up with the bumpers. So if anyone can help please let me know and we can sort something out after the GWRA

I wonder if we get a genny for power tools to the GWRA on saturday afternoon we could all knock heads together :wink:

as my car is traveling light i might be able to get one

Not that Im any use, I keep burning leccy things out and setting them on fire :oops:

But if we all bang a few tools in the car we just might figure a way around it and all help each other with any little niggles, while we have a beer and the food is cooking :dance:

Who needs a genny................Got a van full of 18/24 volt power tools. Sure Dan wont mind me throwin a few things in his truck, if it means we can have a tinker. :wink:

I have a genny I could bring, was gonna bring it anyway just in case. If everyone else brings any necessary tools etc Im sure we could sort out the bumper.

Just so we know though its only 1KW (1000 watts). powers everything up to about 900 watts OK.

Urrr.... Yeah, the rubber puck has a metal tube/sleeve in it and the bolt had seized solid inside it. I ground the tube and bolt and started drilling it out but as luck would have it the bit snapped so I started drilling through from the other side, less then 10mm to go and the bit snapped in the hole. As a workaround I drilled several nuts out so they slid over the bolts to make up the same height as the original tube. I had 2 new tubes made up but havent gotten round to fitting them yet.

Do you want me to sling the MIG in the boot,just in case ???

Dont think my genny will run a welder.

Will be bringing it anyway along with a worklight. Its only 1000 Watts but I find anything over 900 and the safety cuts in.

i have a genny will run anything on 110v or 240v was thinking of bringing it with few tools and lights but may not have the room in the motor but will try.

If you think its not needed just let us know

Need trailers at this rate guys, we'll have a camp site workshop with gennies, welders, whizzers, drills, lights n all sorts of kit. I CANT WAIT

you lot are amazing, i'll bring a grinder and a bag of nuts and bolts. All the other tools belong to dhl and they wont like me taking them for the weekend

We could do with a good size gazebo to work under just in case. Jay has a new unused one still in the box.. :lol:
