Fuel Economy as

HI there Gang!

Its exciting times as I am about to take my beloved Fronty on its first out of town trip, goign from West Yorkshire to Cotswolds this weekend.

With the ever increasing price of petrol, just wanted to check I had worked out the rough amount of petrol I would use.

So far Ive only done short around town trips, and the MPG I have been achieving is around 21 - 25, I thought that most of this will be motorway, so should achieve a solid 25mpg.

Am I right in that assumption, or do you think a 94 2.0 Sport will achieve a higher MPG?

And do you have any tips for a new driver to make sure he maximises his MPG in his Fronty?

good luck ...

tips ..
don't carry any unnecessary weight
check the tyre pressures are all at the correct level
don't make any sudden movements (braking ..acceleration ..etc,etc)

keep everything nice and steady and smooth

for a SWB (with up to 2 people inside)25psi in both front + rear.
fully loaded 25 on front ...35 in rears

Dont try and go over 70mph. 65 is a good compromise for speed and fuel economy on the sport. Should manage at least 25 that way if not a little higher.
