Trips.Guys,
Has there been any effort put into big offroad trips... I mean like 4x4ing in France or spain, or ever the Sahara? I'd love to go back to the desert and take a Frontera.... thing is it's not really a 1 truck trip, it's more like a 5 + truck trip... Any Takers.... And before anyone asks, I'm being serious.... If we can get the numbers I'll start organsing something. Cheers. Matt Rolling Thunder, "Wagons Role".

Re: Trips.yeah, know what mean about Life.
I just got fed up withthe same old holidays and fancy going 4x4'ing maybe the alps, or the Sahara, or somewhere a bit different. Obviously the closer to the UK we go the less trucks we will need. For example, Spain could do Spain with 3 trucks. To save fuel could get the Bilbao Ferry... but thats just an idea... More idea's Welcome... The Desert is a long way.. it's about 3k by road, and will probably require camping at some point, large amounts of bribary of border guards, and some mechanical knowldge. It'll be the ultimate test of Family's and Machines... I'll be taking my little boy and wife along if we go... The Alps is a good one, and so is the south of France...Or Norway to see the Northern Lights! Cheers. Matt Rolling Thunder, "Wagons Role".

Re: Trips.what about across Botswana ...like top gear did in ordinary cars
Re: Trips.Norways great, but dont have a clue to their rights of way. How much is the return Bilboa ferry? i think you might be wiser to organise a euro based venture first so theres more help if you have difficulties.
As for getting groups, Drift hit it on the head, its a big justification to the family budget as it will cost the same as a nice family holiday. I thought long and hard a bout the Bofa euro excursion, but find camping weekends in the SWB a squeeze, propper outings would really want a LWB. Fronty no.4, pimp mobile Treg 3.2 LWB lifted 2.5"
Fronty no.5 2.8 swb hd coils +2" 31"machos.
Re: Trips.I might just leave her for a year , as no way would I spend that time in my car with my kids

Re: Trips.Always fancied driving around the coast of our fine country and then nipping over to Ireland to do the same there, but would want about 2 months to make it worth while. There must be a way of linking up some play sites with as many green lanes and ROW's to make a decent trip, bit like a uk pub crawl but with p+p's and lanes.
