If we can pursuade one of our knowledgeable mods with affiliated connections to sort out some lane routes around there I am willing to lead a day out for locals and raise a little interest.

If you want to find lanes, wander down to WH Smith (other bookshops are available) and hook out the ordnance survey maps for the area...
Byeways open to all traffic (BOAT's) will be shown as green crosses on there. May not be entirely accurate mind, due to restrictions or reclassification
But yeah, when up, a bit of laning would seem to be in order...
