How many miles do you do in your ............

i have been getting insurance quotes for my frontera .... & one thing they all ask is " what is your annual mileage "
Well i have alway said 11,000 to 12,000 miles a year ....

Well i have had my current fronty 8 months & have done 10,760 miles in her in that time ..... thats 1,345 miles a month ...

so in a year that works out that i could do 16,140 miles thats 4,140 more miles a year than my insurance company think i do

That is based on my truck being our only vehicle ...
So was just wondering how many miles a year others do in there trucks & if that is based on there truck being there only car / vehicle ???

When I was commuting in an aging GTi, I was insured for up to 8,000 miles (that year I actually did 7,500) - I had the use of a Van, or a lift, for weekend stuff

With all the marshalling events I've done over the last couple of years, my annual mileage has jumped up to about 15,000 including the commute.

I currently commute 52 miles a day, 260 a week, that's 12,220 per work year (47 weeks) - good job I've got that second car as a run-a-round.

when i was working my mileage for 2006 was between 18000 20000 per year
i was doing 20 mile aday return for work 6 days a week plus shopping making 1000ml per month = 12000ml py

then away in caravan clocked another 6000 3 trips to cornwall 2 to chedda 1 to sherwood forest 1 to lincoln 1 to cromer plus others


so i did between 18k to 20k i used about 750 gal of fuel changed the oil 6 times and the filter 3 times i replaced the rear tyres still 3mm left but no grip in wet and am still on same front tyres

at the moment im doing about 7k a year

Have the fronty for work commute 6 miles + weekend play shooting and teching the kids to drive. 8-10k

Have vw passat 4motion diesel est for long distance / holiday stuff 7-8k

Missus use a toyota corrlla t-sport for her and with work travell does 15k

so all in all about 30k per year across the 3.
