key fob battery replacement

Postby olympus16270 on Sat Apr 12, 2008 2:55 pm

Is there an idiots guide to opening a radio remote key fob for my Fronty 2.2,2003 model 2 buttons and a red led.
I have tried gently opening it but don't want to force it.
Regards,John

Which brings me to another question, changed the battery and it was still not working and noticed that one one side of the battery holder is "floating" and does not appear to be soldered into place.
I have bodged it with a bit of cardboard packing and it does now work ok,are they all like this or is it broken?
thanks-John

One or two others on here have had the same problem, though mines fine at the moment.
If it works ok then its fine.
