Problems with Bronco 4x4

Is anybody else experiancing problems getting goods delivered or money back from Bronco 4x4 ?

I ordered a set of tyres on the 15th of march & keep getting fobbd off with the same old tales of "We are awaiting a delivery" or "we are waiting for a call from the factory"
And yes you gussed it, when i ask to speak to the manager or the accounts department i get "They are not in at the moment"

Even though they cant seem to get me the tyres i ordered they are still selling them on their web site.

Amazing that Bronco 4x4 is owned by Piranha Worldwide Ltd, this company cannot be contacted.

Well its now in the hands of Trading Standards so be warned DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE

Thats a Shame.. when I was over at the Dark Side (LR) I used them a fair bit.... they where always OK with me, but thats going back a bit now though.

Guess it's another 4x4 company thats going down the pan..

i've used bronco4x4 before and they were really quick in dispatching my goods

Rather narked off as i cant afford to get tyres elswhere until they refund my cash

Trading standards stated that by law they have 30 days from payment to supply the goods then as a consumer i have the right to cancel & demand a refund
they then have 30 days to do this or they will be breaking the law

So up to 60 days after placing the order i might & thats a big MIGHT get my money back, if not then the revelent authorities will come down on them & id probably be lucky to get 20p in the pound. :evil:

As they are still selling the tyres on the website i cant be the only one theyre sucking money from, the authorities have classed this as receving money by deception.

I'll keep ya all updated on the developments.

Bronco 4x4 is about 6 miles from where I live. Last year when i was after a set of Grizzlys for my truck I tried to telephone them to check stock, I also emailed them everyday for a week, and you guessed it, no answer from either.

Decided to have a drive over there. Got there and the place was deserted. Spoke to one of the nieghbouring units and was told they had gone bust !!!!!!

Purchased a set of tyres from elsewhere.

Then a week after, I had to pop over to Leek for another unrelated matter to a unit just around the corner from there original site, to my suprise, there was a new unit, with the words of BRONO 4x4 over the top !!!!

And on another unrelated incident, about 8 weeks ago, 4x4Bobby was after a new set of tyres, and due to him working during the day he asked me if i could sort him some out.

Again contacted bronco 4x4 requesting if they had 5 Kingpin M/T's in, and if so, as I was local could I come to collect them, there responce was "Sorry not got them in stock at the moment, how would you be paying for them !"

I said "cash", his response was "i can get you a set for friday, if you pop up and pay for them today",

I asked if that was guarenteed, his reply was "Yes, no problems, but I'll give you a ring back".

8 Weeks later, still waiting for the phone call !!!

One thing I noticed from last year is there website. I knew they where based in Leek, Staffordshire, But i was'nt sure exactly where, so they did have a Multimap link on there website.

When I could'nt get in contact with them last year I again went on there website and low and behold there multimap link has disappeared. And to this day, there new premises or address are not mentioned ANYWHERE on there site. Just a 0870 telephone number or email contact only. Bit dodgy me thinks ........ :shock:

I THINK BRONCO 4X4 GETS THE :butt:

I know it won't help till you get your money back, but I Got the same day service for a set of 5 Kingpin m/t from Formula 4x4 in Stone, Staffordshire. Might be worth checking them out.

Trading Standards & the Police both came up with that info
Their now waiting the 30 days to see if they reply to my letter or refund my money before they can take it further
Though saying that companies house & the local authorities to Bronco have been notified but it may be a time before they are brought to hand

In the meantime i hope our fellow members have read this post & keep well clear
Its bad enougth that i would probably loose my money & probably many others but people need to be warned so they dont loose theirs.
Is it possible to maybe place a warning on the forum home page in the latest news until this matter is resolved ??

i take it you paid by card was it a debit or credit card if credit get on to them and the will do a claim process on default if debit card get on to the bank and tell them as its against law to take money out of account till good are to be dispatched so you might get them claim it back for you even if they get it and hold it while investigating[/quote]

Cheers for the info, I paid by debit card, i didnt think the bank could do anything & none of the authorities advised me to contact them
I'll be going straight down there monday morning to see if they can help

i think the cover is called the chargeback scheme, which repays customers who do not receive their goods
i know visa and mastercard do it
a lot of folk who paid farepack by there cards were able to claim there money back

its even easier if its a credit card

Ive read a lot about thyeir service or lack of it on a few forums over the past few months, even so I was thinking about buying wheel nuts from them, but I emailed a couple of times and get no response, that put me off, after reading this its a defo no no

I did ask about the grizzly claws last year and had the same problem about they have non in stock and have had dealings through work with them and they are a strage bunch to deal with i wont use them or recomend them to anyone :evil:

i ordered a £600 wheel and tyre package from bronco with a debit card online after recommendations on here about them. that was 5th april, and they phoned a few days later saying that they couldnt source the tyres i wanted and would try to get another type for me, they didnt phone the next day as promised so i phoned them and they said they were waiting to here from the stores dept with stock details, another day passed and no call back, so i called him and told him i had found other tyres elsewhere and to cancel order, but i would still like the wheels, he said he would call back in 15 mins when he had checked with stores on if they had any in stock, still no call back to this day, i got tyres and wheels elsewhere delivered the next day, and have emptied the account of the card details i gave bronco just incase,

i also would not recommend them to anyone, and would suggest to anyone thinking of using them to go elsewhere. the guy is a ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
