Need an urgent answer if anyone can help!

Hi,
Could some one tell me if it's necessary to "drop" the gearbox support crossmember to fit the front part (with cat) of the exhaust system on a Frontera B(petrol) lwb.
I don't think it is - I reckon you can manouvre it in from the top via the engine bay - but I could be wrong!

I can't see why you couldn't manoeuvre it in like you say.. a lot of things are possible with a little bit of patience..

Mind you though, watch for wires, cables, fuel lines etc that you could get caught on the wrong side of the pipe..

Yep .... garage that fitted it originally said £25 to fit
They sent me a bill for over twice that + vat!!!!
They reckoned they had to drop the gearbox crossmember to fit it and it was a "Big Job" (what?..... six bolts and jack??).
When I threatened trading standards the bill magically shrank back to £25!
