Is that a boat behind me??

I have a 2.8 diesel lwb fronty and want to tow a boat which weighs 3100 kgs. Have read previous posts regarding weights etc but can someone just clarify if I would be legal. I passed my test before 1997.

i hope that the weight is including the trailer

i think its a bit to much to tow legally

if you look under the bonnet there should be a plate on the front above the rad

it will have the front & rear axel weights and gross train weight on it

i think off the top of my head your max tow weight is 2800kg making the GTW of about 4800kg

Most websites on the subject suggest 3.5 tonnes as the legal towing limit, including trailer, which would just scrape it in. Or would the Fronty suffer if I connected that weight to her?

people may say the most you can tow is 3500kg, but if you exceed your vehicles plated GTW your breaking the law so be careful!
