I have bought off another member on here, who has taken it of his SWB and it comes with all the wiring. I take it I cant just stick two wires onto my battery
I know it has to be on its own seperate circuit and not attached to my normal light circuit, but the rest is a new one on me

Just remember Carl, you have a diesel which doesnt draw as much current whilst running, when we all put our spots on at Farley the noise of fan belts and altenators squeeling set birds off accross the lake. (I know they were all sodden, but thats off roading)

If youre planing a winch its a must, I myself will put one in for lights as its no fun draining the battery out in the woods at night with the spots on and not being able to start the car after stalling. A lot of people dont bother ,so its not a must, just my opinion.

A good comment there Alex.

Roof lights are effectively illegal for on-road use anyway (including green laning), so that just leaves pay & play sites, unless you're fortunate enough yo have access to off-road terrain with permission.

I've used mine quite a bit during my motorsport marshalling hobby, but I have to confess my roof lights are mainly for show (infact, they've not been wired up for some time)

I dont bother, purely as the fuel consumption is not great on truck of this size and it would only be worse with huge spots on the roof.

I admit they look cool and have been very tempted but I couldn't justify them for the use they would get :(

Im not having a go at people with spot lights as most of them look ace 8) but Im kinda getting practical in my old age.

So those with spot lights dont you dare start a thread about low fuel economy pmsl

Dunno about his, but mine did  pre-fitted to his roof rack. Looks very nice on a SWB. I want to wire up a couple of floods to the rear of the rack for camping illumination so I will defo be needing a second battery.
