frontera b clutch slipping slightly

Hello

My 2.2dti 2000 frontera clutch has started to slip slightly, could anyone give me any advice on the same,Eg does it require adjustment,or replacing.If it is adjustment has anyone got any advice on were the adjuster is.
Any advice will be warmly welcomed.

If its slipping it will need replacing unfortunately.

i just had mine done on my 2.8 A series at a cost of £320 ..

Clutch £146, labour £250 (cash).
Not too bad in the scheme of things ....

I only had 50,000 on the clock.
There is a problem with the b series clutches in as much as if you slip the clutch a lot (as in town/city driving) they get very hot and the springs in the plate go weak.
Exactly what happened to mine.
There was loads of life left on the lining but the springs were so weak they almost fell out! :shock:

Make sure you get a good make of clutch, the one I got was "Quinton Hazell".

mine was a "valeo" kit

Sorry to jump on the band wagon. My clutch is making some strange noise when the peddle is pressed down almost like a grinding noise it dont do it every day though any ideas guys ? Could it be the plate im wondering. Mine is a frontera b 3.2 v6 limited

Posible the dmf starting to play up but someone with better knowledge will be along shortly.

Could be thrust release bearing from middle of clutch plate. If you have to change that check clutch while there is it needs changing do it.
