Need abit of info please guys

Postby cav on Sat Mar 08, 2008 5:48 pm

Hi all thinking of buying a Frontera but dont know what kind would be best for me.
If i buy one it will only be a run about but needs to seat 5 so it looks like its the lwb for me. I dont go that far from home and the only real ride it will have is to go to France in the summer. Ive also seen this on Ebay and ive feel in love with the shape, so can anyone tell me what mk it is please ?

She is an A, made for a short spell about a year, its got a similar dash to B's but not quiet. Most parts are the same as coil sprung A's but they do have the occasional unique part neither A or B. Its not a negative that would scare me off having one, just worth noting when getting parts, you need to know the person flicking through lists gets the right year.

What engine is it?

It will seat 5 easy, plenty of boot to. The SWB is a 4 seater only.

Any late 1995 onwards Frontera should have that dash.

Main point to look out for is rear leaking diff plate and split exhaust manifold, also any low down knocking noises from the engine, also let the temp rise see where it settles.

I had a November 96 2.2 with the old dash, but it was a true LTD diamond, full leather A/C and lecy sun roof, all the toys, and accessories.
