Changed alternator AGAIN

It broke last week so I fitted my last spare one, gave the snorkel a good test while out laning on Sunday and alternator packed up.

Bit the bullet and bought a new one, arrived today and fitted it tonight :!:

Wonder how good the warranty is on the new one :wink:

Fitted a brand new alternator that I picked up from brum for £80

Last night fitted the new super dooper springs from Mark, not fussed on the colour but can live with that as the lift is spot on and it drives the same as the Explorer UK spring/spacer combo I had on there before :dance:

Not tested articulation yet, will need some dislocation cones sorting to stop them popping out on max flex, have an idea as to how to do it just need to find the time to make them :idea:

I put mine in for its MOT ( the first since i bought it) and ..........

it passed with not so much as an advisory

jumped in mine this morning to go to work after a oil and filter change in the gearbox yesterday. got about 4 miles from home and all of a sudden hear on heck of a bang i thought i had hit somthing ? so pulled up asap and got out had a look around could not see anything got torch out and looked under neath the truck to find oil driping from gearbox. so had to leave it there and get garage to recover it gearbox is now with a specialist to see if or what damage there is ? not a happy man :evil:

Changed my wheels ready for sundays laning

Spent £136 on a new Alternator :evil:

On the plus side this one doesn't have sparks flying out of it :roll:

NIce idea Ste, but I had to have the motor mobile again today (well, by 6pm actually) so I had no choice

On the upside , the vac pump was obviously a bit goosed as well because the brake fade has disappeared since fitting the new one. The price wasn't too bad, I was quoted between £179 and £260 elsewhere :shock:

For future reference mate I could do with you making a list of any Trooper comaptible bits you have lying about that you may want to sell
