Now the montery there was a motor i wanted ah well i have a trooper now lotus edition collect saturday

I have to say the build quality is infinitely better, which is nice in some respects, but a pain when you are trying to take stuff apart as everything is double bolted/screwed with extra fastenings blah blah.

Yeah i wont park too close if i make it too a meet bits might falloff mine mysteriosly :lol:

Well, its been a while but just squeezed 405 miles from one tank of fuel, and the fuel light has not come on yet, well it flickers when I go around a corner a bit quick :wink:

I still have to get the garage for fuel about 7 miles away so I am well chuffed with that.This is taking all the mods into consideration.
I have though fitted smaller tyres for the road AT's and bang 500ml of 2 stroke in a tank :wink:

I have to admit I havent been driving like a saint either :angel:

I have to admit I am truely over the moon though. I spotted this one a couple of months ago and tried everything I could to get the money together for it. I eventually had to let it go. Chuffed it is going to someone who is going to look after it ... you will look after her won't you Drinks!!!

well first day i have had to play on the truck so half the day trying to sort the resar door out then it rained so rear wheel mount fitted cb arial on just half run but not take long to finish it tomorrow but with luck and good weather i should have my old roof lights on by tomorow night , just ready to get it an oil change

Well thats the Picasso's MOT sorted, it flew through :dance:

So I will just wait for the ice to melt and have a tinker with Triggers Broom

Todays plan was........................remove old exhaust and replace with one from donor car.

Remove props etc and check breather pipe isnt blocked and get pinion seal out.

Then try and source a new one....proving to be very hard.

Not H.A.P.P.Y. done my back in so another weekend up the spout.....

Well, it's only took me 2 weeks but I washed it

Didn't realise how shiny it was.

I got carried away in the shed and fitted a new vice to my work top and a cheque plate floor to the front of the shed.
So nothing to the car :oh yer:

taken the spare wheel carrier off & strapped the spare in the back & stuck my shackles on the recovery points, also ordered another tow strop from the tinternet

I have given it a rest as I've used it all week instead of using the vectra.

I brought some of the bits for a defender snorkel off evilbay in the week and started to fit it today.
Removed the wing and airbox fitted some flexible pipe and siliconed it in place then when it had gone off a bit gaffered the thing to within an inch of its life and refitted the airbox drilled the wing fed the tubing through and refitted the wing.

Cut the defender back plate to size and shape and re drilled the fixing holes then ran out of useable daylight.
Next comes the tricky bit finding time to fix the upright tube to the A post without cracking the screen then fitting both half's of the snorkel together with flexible pipe.
next I need to feed the tubing from the airbox through and work out a way of fitting the mushroom on the top as there is a difference in diameter of the upright tube and the mushroom.
I want to make a decent job of this bit as it's the bit everyone see's.
