WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Brought some silicon spray for the under bonnet electrics and a set of rubber mats to go in when I get the wet muddy carpets out.

Finally stripped the Caravan to shreds. She is nothing more than the floor. All walss, roof, and innards gone. Used the truck to transport the scrap to the tip.

Gave her a good wash and hoover out

then ordered some springs off mark to lift her

Spent the day on mablethorpe beach learning sand driving texhniques and recovery with yorks-lincs 4x4 response group. Awesome day and had great fun. Only way i got the truck stuck was going to 2wd mode and floored it! Dug in to the chassis floor lol. Superb fun, learnt a lot and have spent ages hosing the truck off the get the salt off lol

Checked and topped up the rear diff oil and found where the 250ml of coolant per day is going! Well, I knew it was ending up on the passenger side footwell but now I've managed to spot just where the leak is. Daylight faded before there was a chance to try and fix it though.

Do they still have the nudist beach at maplethorpe , i always found that odd as its a right cold wind there compared to skeg ... oh now i get it

I fixed the clutch on the lwb now i can resume with selling it

Changed the side light bulb, stupid thing then fell into the head light :roll:

got it out and refitted and the naff led (new) wouldnt work :evil:

So not to be outdone I scraped the orange off and indicator bulb and used that :thumbup:

Then realised my fan belt was not very tight, its at the top of the adjustment so it must have stretched ....next week me thinks its a new fan belt getting fitted :roll:

Did all my usual checks and tightened a few clips up and all was well until the bloody thing wouldnt start...dead battery...its about two weeks old :evil:

charged it and runs fine, hoping its the loose belt causing the issue. :crazy:

Oh, just wondered why the wife looked at me in a kind of angry way when I mentioned (again) that I need a new mud tyre......she reminded me she has just been online and paid my £215 road tax this afternoon :oh yer:

I dont think I will mention the tyre for a little while :oops:

Got my tax at the end of the month as well :evil:

Guys, just a thought, I don't know at what rate the engines draw air in especially when on high revs but suggest you make sure your vents aren't set to "recirculating" as the engine is a powerful hoover - take care with little tots in the cars too if adopting this technique. The cabin should have sufficient fresh air getting into it for humans.

This is what i did today, made a brushed aluminium switch board to go above the rear view mirror. The aluminium looks really good against the suede headliner I did the other week

NOTHING to the trucks....as I am still ILL...the cold has pretty much gone but got a chest infection now, and the moment I lay down I start coughing and cant sleep...this is the third night, hence why I am on here now as when I lay down I cough my guts up...
Stomach muscles are agony through repeated coughing, chest hurts too...and I am knackered...but its looking like this is gonna be another sleepless one. :yawn:

Fed up with it now...really fed up...

Greg be Careful bud that's how I was and ended up in hospital with pemumonia.

Drove mine to work covered in half of Salisbury Plain to use the jet wash and got a thumbs up :thumbup:
