in exchange for fixing my frontera i bought a spare gearbox and few other bits off Si

the frog went to the scrapper

DId an oil and filter change today.

Also still scratching my head on bad fuel economy.. 220 miles in an 80 litre tank,. :shock:

so Far:
1 Fitted new middle exhaust part ( to fix the old one that was bent @ Wales meet )
2 Fitted new cam position sensor & reset MIL
3 cleaned MAP sensor
4 Replaced all injector O rings on the fuel rail
5 Cleaned Air Temp sensor on the air box with non residue carb cleaner

I have yet to check the O2 sensor, though this seems to vary from 0.3 - 0.7 constantly whilst running.
MAP sensor report 4psi on the inlet (idle) upto 18psi when driving/varies with throttle.

any ideas?

Is there a way to clean the O2 sensors as they are encased?

Post up about the 02 sensor in the 2.2 section bud :thumbup:

well today i moved mine so i could work on fogman's
and then we removed his skirt and welded on some front recovery points

id av put the plate on the ns of the bumper but looks the dogs mate!! :clap:

found the multiplug under the drivers seat and squirted it with contact cleaner and joined it back together a few times to clean it.

Touching a large lump of wood (before it goes in the log burner lol) I now have no warning lights on the truck and it is running like a dream. I still think it could do with a full decoke on the inlet side but I'm really reluctant to disturb it for fear of buggering the fuel pump. I got the gaskets when I got the upper manifold so just have to pluck up the courage :drink:

and go for it at some point.

Still not convinced it has full power and the economy etc so maybe the decoke and somehow blast out the exhaust or check to see if the cat has collapsed anyway.

Finished putting all the tow bar electrics in and realised that with the towbar on the parking sensors go crazy :!:

Time to put it in backwards round I think.

just unplug the middle 2 sensors mate, although they will go daft backin the caravan/trailor up!!

Yeah, it's a trailer but will only get used a few times a month so was just gonna undo the two bolts that hold it on and turn it 180 degrees till needed.

mines in the right hand panel in the boot. you could just make or buy 2 pins with split pins n take it off/put it on when needed bud? :wink:

I just use the tow bar itself as my parking sencer....when I feel it pressing into the number plate of the car behind me I know Im too close

Found the keys that have been lost since Wednesday (sorry tidied up by the wife :thumbdown:

) so I will use it for work tomorrow as I need to put my toolbox and other kit back in for another trip across Salisbury Plain next weekend :thumbup:
