Cant knock a 2.0i...good trucks they are...still got one, by yella fing in my avatar (well for now anyway!)...
and my LWL was the most fun car I have ever owned...(and if I am honest I do miss the old gal too...we had some great "moments" together!)..

come to think of it..i remember getting from liverpool to bala a few years back with Simo and 2 others, and the only two that got home under our own steam were me and simo, both in 2ltrs...the other 2 come home on the back of recovery trucks......v6 lost to a bit of water, and the 2.8 to a slight incline..

Fitted two New front tyres and bought a frontier tow hitch assembly from a breaker off a 99 frontera lwb.

Just have to fit the tow hitch when I get a chance.

Finally finished the swap on my front dff, took 2 bloody days, you name a problem i run into. To name a few:

2.8 drive shafts do not fit a 2.2i front diff

Dont hit the end of the drive shaft with a hammer when they come off they are very soft, squash down, loose the curclip grove in the auto hub and have to sit for hours filing the bloody thing down so now i have a drive shaft thats a tiny bit shorter on the end and only just sticks through the auto hub, unable to regrove a curclip grove as there is not enough lenght on the end of the drive shaft

every split pin snapped need to get new ones today and drill one out

On the plus side i now have 2 very good axles fitted that are silent and matching ratios. Come off a 2.2i and not a 2.8td and are a ratio of 4.88 instead off 4.56 but im happy with the out come.
